As the winter season came to a close, Sports Media didn’t slow down; it only accelerated. With the spring season now in full swing, members of our Sports Media program have been working harder than ever to capture every big moment. What fans see on social media is only a small glimpse of the time, effort, and creativity that goes into each post, article, and video. Because spring is the shortest season, we have to move quickly and work together to make sure nothing is missed.
To start the season, we focused on completing schedules and taking on major projects. We also hosted a successful media day. One of the most important projects for me is the senior banner displayed at the athletic entrance. “The senior banner is a tradition we started to showcase our ability to photograph, use cutouts, and layer images to creatively represent our dedicated seniors,” said Mrs. Morley. Along with a few teammates, I helped choose photos of 66 seniors and transform them into a banner that represents their hard work and accomplishments.
In addition to the banner, we also create videos and designs for senior awards, giving us even more opportunities to highlight our classmates. Sports media allows students to express their creativity while supporting others, making it both meaningful and rewarding work. Joining Sports Media two years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It has grown into a true passion of mine, and I hope others who are considering joining will find the same sense of purpose and excitement that I do.
I hope you enjoy what is to come this spring!
