Considering all that has happened to pushback high school sports, there are now sports happening this spring that wouldn’t usually be considered ‘spring sports.’ All the fall sports that were not able to be held are now being held this spring season. Football, boys soccer, field hockey, and girls volleyball are the sports that are taking place right now. 

These activities have already begun, as the winter sports season is coming to an end. Both boys soccer and football began their practices last Wednesday, March 3. Football is kicking off their games starting next Friday, March 19. Soccer on the other hand has it’s first game next Thursday, March 18, with our rival, Antioch Community High School. Field hockey has it’s first game this upcoming Saturday against St.Ignatius College Prep- Il. 

There’s lots to look forward to this sports season, and it has been an eager wait for many of the (what would usually be) fall sports. It’s finally time to jump back into things and get back outside!
