The Pros of Valentine’s Day

Right now, everybody needs a little bit more positivity in their lives. Valentine’s Day is another day to look forward to even if you do not have a significant other. Valentine’s Day is used to celebrate love, friendship, and admiration.

With Covid-19 you might expect that it would be harder to celebrate, but in reality there are still a lot of things you can do. Cook County has returned to phase 4 of the pandemic, which means restaurants and other businesses are opening back up with no more than 50% capacity.

While gifts are a big part of many of holidays, spending time with the people you love is something that all holidays have in common. Valentine’s Day in particular is supposed to be filled with love and happiness and whether gifts be a part of that or not, is up to you to decide.

Small things can sometimes be the most meaningful. Something as simple as making dinner with your significant other or friends can be a fun experience. Another thing that you could do is have a movie marathon. You can never go wrong with binge watching a movie series or T.V. show. And if you need something to snack on during your binge, make some heart shaped foods such as cookies, pizza, pie, cupcakes… there’s really no limit on this one.

Spending time with the people you love is important, and Valentine’s Day is wonderful for celebrating that! The little things can make the biggest difference, and so can quality time. Making an effort to do those things can make Valentine’s day a great experience for you, and the ones you love.
