Movies for 2021
Back in March when the pandemic started it felt like we wouldn’t see a new movie for ages. Everything was put on halt, and new films were no exception. Now this January, thankfully things have started to go back to normal. While movies may not be playing in theaters, streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ are still releasing movies for their viewers to enjoy.
Netflix just announced a bold new plan to release new movies every week for 2021. The Netflix website detailed a lengthy description of what to expect from the new films, who will be starring, and some fan-favorite directors. The Netflix website states “we’re bringing you a year of films filled with more of the things we know our members love- zombies (Army of the Dead), cowboys (The Harder They Fall, Concrete Cowboy), and high school romance (including the culmination of To All the Boys and The Kissing Booth trilogies)”. They go on to list more genres and the movies that are offered by them. Netflix seems to be trying to give a little bit for everyone to enjoy like they said zombies, cowboys, teen romance, and many others. They also seem to be drawing in viewers by promising some of the biggest stars will be on screens like Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Sandra Bullock, and many others. It will be interesting to see how fans like this format and if the movies receive good ratings.
In the same way, Disney+ is doing a new premiere each week. Instead, though they will be releasing a new movie and a couple of classics and older flixs as well. On January the first Disney added 700 Sharks which is a few film along with Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!,
