Is anyone else out there crying actual tears because Friends was taken off Netflix at 12 a.m. PST on December 31, 2019? I KNEW I wasn’t alone! I watched until an error message came up on my phone – in the middle of rewatching Season 4 for the third time. It was devastating; I’m not gonna lie. What are we supposed to watch now when we have downtime? Are we just supposed to pivot into a different series? Sigh.

There’s a lot of speculation on social media but it sounds like HBO is launching a new platform (HBO Max) and will stream all 236 Friends episodes on it. That’s great news, right? Well, kinda. The new platform may not be free AND it sounds like none of this will happen until May. That’s a long time. We DON’T want to go on a break waiting for our friends to come back! If you just can’t wait, you can stalk cable for reruns or download episodes from Amazon. While we all know that’s not the same, at least it’s an option.

So even though it’s not our day or our week…it WILL be our year (eventually)! Stay patient Friends friends! See you in May.
