Trump Becomes Third President To Be Impeached By The House

As of Wednesday, December 18th, Trump became the third president in US history to be impeached by the House of Representatives. With Andrew Johnson (1868) and Bill Clinton (1998) being the other two presidents before him, Trump marks his name in the record books.

Trump was found abusing power and obstructing Congress, leading the House’s decision to impeach him. Our president was found corruptly using his power to help him win his election, and had Ukraine help him try to undercut his Democratic rivals for office.

As of right now, Trump still resides in the Oval Office. Since the House has impeached him, there must be a trial through the Senate. The Senate will meet in early 2020 to vote for the removal of Donald Trump; however, there must be a ⅔ vote by the Senate to remove Trump for presidency.

We can’t be too sure what will be the fate for Donald Trump. More history could be written depending on how the Senate would like to vote for removal of presidency. We will all have to watch the news early next year to see how he ends up.
