On January 1, 2023, Marvel’s Hawkeye Jeremy Renner was involved in a snow plow accident. In an interview with CNN, he retold how he broke over 30 bones. The recovery was a long and tedious process for Renner, but he told Variety, “I look a little beat up right now, but I promise you this show is what’s propelling me to get better and makes me want to get better every day. I set out a goal to be walking this carpet.”

The carpet was for his show “Rennervations” released on April 12, 2023, direct to Disney Plus. The show “oversees the overhaul of decommissioned public buses and trucks into custom-built vehicles to serve children’s charities” (The Hollywood Reporter).  

Renner showed up to his show’s red carpet with his loved ones by his side and with massive support from his fans. Following the premiere, Variety describes how the audience gave Renner a standing ovation. 

This charity passion project of Renners, though only 4 episodes long, will continue to help communities everywhere, because “Renner has 200 buses and fire engines” (Yahoo Finance). Though Renner suffered through his accident he pushed through with the support of his family, friends, and fans to walk the carpet for his inspirational show.
