Jenna Ortega has been making a name for herself in the horror genre. In 2022 alone, Ortega starred in X, Scream 5, and Studio 666. 

Ortega is most known for her role as Wednesday Addams in the hit tv show Wednesday. This show is one of Netflix’s most streamed shows of all time and had its first season released in November of 2022. According to CBR, many people love Wednesday because Ortega puts her own spin on the character while staying true to the classic Wednesday Addams everyone knows and loves. Ortega created a dance for the show that went viral on Tik Tok and started a trend of doing the dance to Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary”. Wednesday has already been confirmed for its second season which is set to premiere sometime in 2024.

On March 10th, Scream 6 came out with Ortega reprising her role as Tara Carpenter. Unlike the previous Scream movies, Scream 6 is set in New York City. This movie centers around the characters from Scream 5 moving to New York to try to start over after the events that happened in the previous film. However, they find themselves fighting for their lives against the iconic Ghostface and try to figure out who the murderer is. 

Ortega has many films coming out in the near future such as a thriller called Finestkind and another horror movie called Miller’s Girl. For only being 20 years old, Ortega’s fame is sure to continue to grow throughout her acting career.
