On February 27th, a number of students from the senior class departed Lake Villa and took on the Big Apple. These students had the weekend to explore the city and end high school with lifelong memories.

Some plans on their agenda were visiting the Statue of Liberty, walking through Time Square, and honoring the people that lost their lives at the 9/11 Memorial. Although they had a ‘jam packed’ schedule, a few of their favorite moments did not only come from their explorations. A group of students that shared a room at the hotel said their favorite moments were as simple as eating ice cream in the room and talking about life.

The New York trip not only offered students a chance to explore a new city, but also bond together to make lasting memories. If you are given a chance to travel with your classmates, it is highly suggested by those who attended the trip.
