While the 2019 Lakes Community High School homecoming week has come to an end, the memories will stay with our students for the rest of their lives.

The theme this year was safari. Different sports and activities decorated the whole school to look like a jungle to prepare for a week filled with school spirit and excitement. The students dressed in their animal pajamas on Monday, safari hats on Tuesday, class colors on Wednesday, neon on Thursday, and animal print on Friday.

On Saturday, hundreds of students gathered at the homecoming dance dressed up and ready to have fun. Senior, Henrik Mandt said, “My most memorable part of the dance was winning homecoming king and being announced in front of all of my new friends.”  Thanks to weeks and dances such as homecoming, many students will leave Lakes with memories that will last forever.
