Ideas to Have the Best Summer

Planning on sitting in your bed all summer watching Netflix? Here are some alternative activities to do if you get bored?

  1. Go to Six Flags

Six Flags, is a local hotspot near us. With not only a rollercoaster park, but a waterpark as well, you can spend all day there. Six Flags also offers affordable season passes so you can go as often as you would like.

  1. Spend time in downtown Kenosha

Downtown Kenosha has many cool spots to visit, such as a clean beach, right on Lake Michigan. It is the perfect place to tan, and swim, if the water isn’t too cold. Once you are done swimming your day away, I would highly recommend you go to Mike’s Chicken and Donuts to re-energize after your eventful day.

  1. Go camping

Whether it is in your backyard, or at a campground, summer is the perfect time to go camping. It may be hot during the day, but at night the temperature is perfect to roast marshmallows and sit around a warm campfire.

  1. Go to Chicago

We are lucky to live about an hour from the Windy City, so we might as well take advantage of it. Another perk of living closer to the city is that we can take the train instead of commuting through the crazy traffic. Chicago has many interesting spots too, such as the Sugar Factory, Navy Pier, and many popular shopping stops.

  1. Go shopping

It wouldn’t be summer if you don’t go and buy a new wardrobe. Gurnee Mills has a large number of stores, to find perfect new bathing suits, and clothes so you’re looking stylish this summer.
